It was minging. Howling wind, driving rain, a long, long drive in shoddy conditions from Surrey to Rotherham. The only silver lining was that the CT was very, very easy.

I pulled off the M1, headed towards a village, and just outside it I found the layby for the gate to the CT. I was just about prepared to run for the top, but clearly the owners of the covered reservoir at the top of the hill were sick to the back teeth of Toppers, and had erected a big set of gates with NO TRESPASSING notices pinned all over them.

It wasn't the weather for arguing. I'd got as close as I was happy to get. Tick.
