After the joy of High Willhays it was back to more prosaic duties. One of the pleasures of including UA Tops in the list is the opportunity to dart off a route and bag one.

I'd been to Herts to see Rog (from Essex/Cambs last year) and on the way home I realised I'd be passing within a few hundred metres of Luton's Top. Up the back of the leisure centre, climbing up a country lane to a scaggy junction between a farm and a track, a quick wander looking at the altimeter, and there it was. Tick.
